Frequently asked questions
Can I pay in Canadian dollars?
Yes. Use the USD and CAD switch on the pricing page. Canadian dollar prices are shown plus applicable taxes.
How does billing work?
Plans are priced per seat. Pay monthly, or choose annual billing: pay up front for twelve months and get a thirteenth month free, so 13 months for the price of 12. For example, Growth is US$59 per seat per month, or US$708 per seat once a year for 13 months of service. There are no setup fees.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel at any time.
What is the difference between PontemVelo and PontemClient?
PontemVelo is the lead product. It keeps deal velocity up: a five-stage route reps follow from research through a qualified meeting, repeating targets they log against, and reports on cycle length and close-date slippage that show managers where deals are slowing. PontemClient works alongside it: a mutual action plan shared with the buyer, from first call through go-live, for the deals worth planning together. Starter includes one of them. Growth and Enterprise include both.
Can I customize the milestones?
Yes. Every plan starts from a built-in library of stages and milestones. You can rename, reorder, remove or add your own, and assign each step to your team, the buyer, or both.
What is a voice command?
A spoken or typed request to the Pontem Sales assistant, such as updating a milestone's status or finding milestones like one you describe. Each plan includes a monthly allowance per seat. The voice assistant is rolling out after launch, and allowances may be adjusted before then.
Can I import the deals I already have?
Yes. In the app, choose Import deals. You can type deals into a table, paste rows copied from Excel, or upload an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file, such as a report run from Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, Dynamics or any other CRM. You need a deal name; the close date, deal size, buyer name and buyer email are what make the plan useful. Managers can import for the whole team too.
Which columns does the import need, and what file types work?
Deal name is required. Close date, deal size, buyer name and buyer email are read when they are there, along with optional company, industry and, for managers, owner email. Columns are matched by heading and you can correct the match. Excel .xlsx and CSV files work. Older .xls files should be saved as .xlsx or .csv first. Up to 1,000 deals can be imported at a time.
Does importing deals email my buyers?
No. An import never sends an email. The buyer's name and email are saved in the private deal details and used to prefill the share dialog when you choose to share a plan. Buyers see nothing until you create a link for them.
What happens to duplicates and rows with problems?
Before anything is created you see every row marked ready, with a note, or skipped with the reason. Deals with the same name as an open deal you already have are skipped by default, so running the same report twice does not double up your plans.
Can Pontem Sales check what reps log against their email and calendar?
Yes, for Microsoft 365 (Outlook) accounts. Each rep links their own work account once, or a Microsoft 365 administrator approves it once for the whole company and an owner or admin chooses the reps it covers. The company option needs your IT team to restrict the app to those mailboxes, and reps are told it is on. Pontem Sales compares targets measured in emails or meetings with what their mailbox and calendar show. The result is a validation score, the share of logged activity that could be seen, plus a question for the 1 on 1. Google accounts are not supported yet.
What does the email and calendar link read?
It counts when email was sent and to whom, who wrote back, and calendar events with outside attendees, including who was invited and whether they accepted. It never reads subjects, message text, attachments, or calendar titles and notes, and its permissions are read only, so it cannot send, change or delete anything. Each rep links their own account, sees their own figures first, and can unlink and delete the collected figures at any time.
Is the validation score proof that a rep is not doing the work?
No. Only mail sent from the linked mailbox is seen, so activity done in a sequencing tool, by phone or on LinkedIn does not appear, and "cold" is an estimate based on first emails to new addresses. An accepted invitation is not proof the meeting happened. Treat a gap as a reason to ask a question. Small numbers are not scored, and the score is capped at 100% so extra work is never held against anyone.
Does PontemVelo replace our CRM?
No. Your CRM stays your system of record for accounts, contacts and forecasts. PontemVelo sits alongside it and runs the part a CRM leaves to chance: the route each deal follows and the numbers that show how fast it is moving. You can start by importing an Excel or CSV export from your CRM, and CRM integration is available with setup help on the Growth and Enterprise plans.
What reporting do managers get?
Every plan includes reporting. Owners and admins get a Reports page: steps completed week on week or by custom dates, quantities reps enter against targets, which steps tend to come before a win, win rates by industry and deal size, and each deal's anticipated close date against what actually happened. Each plan also holds the client name, industry, deal size and a basic buyer persona. You can download the deal list as a spreadsheet.
What are the Rep Synopsis and the 1 on 1 prep?
For each rep, a manager can open a Rep Synopsis: a short review of the rep's numbers against the team with strengths, gaps and what to focus on. The 1 on 1 prep is a document built from the same figures, with the deals worth discussing, questions to ask, team context and actions to agree. You can print it, copy it or download it for Word.
Can briefs be generated automatically?
Yes. Owners and admins can schedule Rep Synopses and 1 on 1 prep documents weekly, every two weeks or monthly, choose the day and which reps are included, and have a short summary emailed. Every brief is saved so you can open it later.
Is the Rep Synopsis written by AI? What does the AI see?
The numbers are always calculated by Pontem Sales from your plans. When the AI writer is switched on for your workspace it rewrites the wording and questions from those figures, using the rep's metrics, deal names and step names. Buyer persona notes are never sent to the AI. Each document says whether it was written by rules or by AI, and your monthly AI allowance applies.
Can buyers see deal details or the buyer persona?
No. Deal details, personas, quantities and reports are internal to your team. A buyer link shows only the shared plan.
Does Pontem Sales work with my CRM?
We can integrate with Salesforce, HubSpot and other major CRMs. Each connection is set up with your team to match how your CRM is configured, so tell us which one you use when you get in touch.
What does Enterprise add?
Enterprise includes everything in Growth plus SSO and advanced permissions, custom onboarding and migration, security review support and a dedicated implementation team.
